Welcome to Bally, Pennsylvania!

                 BALLY POLICE DEPARTMENT

Currently Bally has a three member Police Department. Shifts are staggered to allow for maximum coverage. The officers are Chief Kenneth Norton, Sergeant Joseph Viola, and Officer Stephen Fox.

Police are dispatched by the Berks County Communications Center.  For emergency calls dial "911". Non emergency calls should be directed to 610-845-2400.

Our department relies heavily on citizen observation. As a resident we would ask that you report any irregular event that takes place in your neighborhood. If you see a moving van back up to a neighbor's house, and you did not know they were moving, they are probably not !

The Police would like to remind you to report when you are going on vacation for more than a day or two. If we know that you are away, we will pay special attention to your house. Vacation notices should be given to the Borough Police Office phone at 610-845-2400 during normal working hours.

Anyone who canvasses the Borough and knocks on your door must have a special permit issued by the Borough. This applies to salesman, survey takers, and religious and non-profit organizations. If someone knocks on your door and they do not have a permit clearly visible, please call either the Borough Office or the Dispatcher at Boyertown.

The Borough has an on-going program to reduce excessive speed in the Borough, especially on Main Street (State Route 100). Rest assured that if you are caught speeding in Bally, you will be prosecuted. We value the lives of our residents, and our children in particular.

REMINDERS

  •     Remember do not park in front of the Borough Hall on weekday evenings. This parking is reserved for Seniors at the Senior Center and for Borough Hall business. This is enforced, and violators will be given a $ 15.00 Parking Ticket.

  •     The entire Park Area is closed and off-limits after 9:00 p.m. Trespassers will be prosecuted.

  •     When you cut your grass, please do not allow grass to be blown into the street area. Grass will end up in our Storm Sewer System and clog the system pipes.

  •     Since we have a large number of Season Ticket Holders at the Pool, we ask that you do not park on the Pool Parking Lot unless you are using the Pool.
