Borough of Bally War Memorial
Chestnut Street, Bally, Pennsylvania
The Borough of Bally has a War Memorial Committee that plans on expanding the existing Leonard Melcher Memorial located at the park on Chestnut Street. Granite markers will be installed with the same names that appeared on the original Honor Roll that was in front of the old Borough Hall honoring those from the Bally area
who served in World War II. New flag poles, shrubbery and brick walkways will be installed. There will also be granite markers that will honor all those who served our country in all the wars.
If you would like more information, see anyone of the committee members:
Pat (Stompf) Blackwell; Pete Fronheiser; Joe Nichols; Don Conrad; Robin Melcher and Toni Hemerka, or call Borough Hall at 610-845-2351.
Bricks will be placed in the walkway in front of the Memorial.
4”x 8” bricks are engraved with 3 lines, 14 characters each line; cost is $40.00.
8”x 8” bricks are engraved with 5 lines, 14 characters each line; cost is $120.00.
